Hull paint

I have done some fiberglass repair work on the inside of my hull and need to repaint the whole inside. Any reccomendations on what to use? Trying to stay as inexpensive as possible but--only want to do it once!
P.S. Thanks to all for sooooo much invaluable information that you just won't find anywhere else. I am building my first and have learned alot from this forum--and from a great bunch of guys. Looking forward to meeting some of you on the water. Thanks again. Dan

I found that lowes or home depot you can get a gallon rustolem oil base paint for 25 bucks and it holds up well i have even used it on the out side and it was still good after 2 years

Fiber-Glass Hull Manufacters use gel-coat.. The fiber-glass pretty much absorbs the gel coat for a super strong hold!

I have to agree with Pred. I would sand the whole inside and then gel coat it and web it. The gel coat can be brushed in. The Webbing can be "splattered" with a brush if you don't have a spray gun (if you do then turn the air way down). Either way you take a small amount of the color you want to web with, add some webbing solution and wax, and get with it. You will want to add the wax in your gelcoat as well. Just my .02.

Gel coat and webbing is real nice when applied correctly, you can match your existing color and webbing and it will look factory new, but I have done a few boats and its not the easiest to apply, works best with a gel coat gun. I have also used a paint called zolatone which looks nice and is not hard to apply, it works best with a polyurethane clear for a top coat.
