ok so i have some debate on a couple of hulls.. first ive found a 12x7 don medlin and a 16 rivermaster im not to sure on wich to go with i will be runnin a 350 dd also i want 2 single seats up top with center console and a double seat up front any suggestions??

Go with the larger hull if you ever intend on getting a gearbox later down the road, you will find you need one if you run dry much!

the larger hull does seem to be a better thing to go with i want a good all around boat as i do bow fish and like to go places to swim and have fun im hoping to run dry but i am on a budget at the moment so no plans for gearbox anytime soon.

You won't be able to push the 16 footer dry with the direct drive setup!

that is if it is a dd 350 cause my caddy had no problems pushing my 16ft rivermaster on the ground. and it is not that heavy for a barge i can almost flip the boat myself. (with out the riggin in it).but watching the sides flex while bouncing all around isn't that comforting.and the bottom flexes as well.

if the 350 is the engine you have (normally helps the budget to have one laying around  ) best thing I could say and this is true with any boat , but decide how many people you want to carry they how much gear then exactly where you need to run . I learned quickly what one guys wants to run as "dry" may not be as dry as someone Else's idea

also this may be helpful I saw in the dealer specials section on airboat trader yesterday that there was a 2.08 box one sale I know that's not as big as some of the new boxes but maybe it would fit in the budget just thought I would bring it up

thanx for the info gold ! actually i was told this boat ran dry dd 350 before it was taken apart to build another i mean my motor isnt built to the max but it has some Oomph! lol worse case scenario ill be on the water again and will have to save for future mods

If you are looking for a boat that you can rig with side by side seating with a center console my advise would be to go with the larger boat. the 12x7 will lean to one side with a side by side/center console set up when you are on the boat by yourself.

Ditto on what John C said.
A DD 350 (no matter how built) will have a tough time running dry. It will do it under the right conditions, but as everyone knows, when you get out of the water conditions change rapidly. I used to have a DD 350 Olds and that thing would run dry just enough to get me in a heap of trouble.
