I Guess We Are All Outlaws

I took the liberty to send all the Osceola County Commissioners that voted for the curfew a e-mail with the Sentinels article on the KRVSA lake clean-up. Here's what I wrote:

Thought you might be interested in seeing what airboaters are doing for the
community. These are the very citizens that you all chose to discriminate
against with a curfew.

John Davis

Paul Owen was the only Commissioner to reply. His reply was:

John,

Thank you for taking the time to send that article. To law abiding citizens a
curfew means nothing but it helps protect our community as a whole.

Keep up the good work!

God bless,

Paul

I never knew staying out past 11pm made me an outlaw. This just shows where the mentality is towards airboaters.

It's a sad state of affairs....folks come here from all over and immediately go to work in an attempt to homoginize our traditional culture...so they fit in better.

Those who voted on that ordinance were driving one more nail in Traditional Florida Culture. My USA Constitution guarantees me the right to pursue happiness...guess those rights are only in force until 11 pm in Osceola County.

Hard to come up with a reply to something that stupid,
what ya wanna bet he gets re elected?
there needs to be a profile kept on our elected
officials noting their stand on our causes, and posted
before election time.

It's a painful thing to watch a spineless person in a position of authority. Mr. Owen is obviously not of that ilk because he at least had the courtesy to reply to your email.
What is all too soon forgotten is that property owners rights end at the waterline.

The water belongs to every tax paying citizen in our State.
