I have my new hull

Larry

Moderator
I finally got a hull for my new boat that I'm building, and it's not an aluminum hull!! After saying that I don't like anything but aluminum glades style hulls I went and bought a Chuck Hawk kevlar step hull. After feeling how nice they ride this past weekend I made up my mind to try something new, found a great deal and picked this baby up last night (missed the chat night  ). It's 12'6" by 7'6" with a 13 1/2 in. transom and nice and light. Colors are dark hunter green with silver flames. Now I just need to get busy building the rigging, guess I'll have some time on my hands now with my area of the glades being closed. The cage is not mine, was bringing it home for a friend.

Congrats Larry,
It's a good looking boat. I like the metal flake gel coat. At least it looked like it was in the photo's.

Get it off the trader?

I saw one like it on there.

Yeah, it's got a lot of flake in the gelcoat, very shiny. It is the one that came on the trader monday, was told about it sunday and I got worried it was gonna be gone before I got it.

Nice boat Larry. I know that's gonna be one sweet ride. My first boat was alum. and it was great---but I did the same thing---I rode in a light wt. glass hull and that's what I got now. Keep us updated on your progress---hope to see you on the water soon.

With the motor i'm building i'm told this should be a 95+ mph boat. Not sure if it's ever gonna see that though, hmmmm who knows

That's gonna be one bad_ss boat Larry. I seen one of those hulls w/O540 come by BS Hill last year. I'd bet it was doing between 80-90 mph and was laying perfectly flat & smooth on the water with no wake at all.

We need some good pictures when it get's done.

You will love that hull I have owned two of them they run real free and fast. The guy that does all his glass work is named Gary he does the best glass work I have ever seen on any boat. Their stuff is A-1 not only light but very strong.

Well Larry,

You'd think some of the Guys would try to help you name this thing. :)

Warp Speed wind
Ya'll come on now
Swim Slow Paddle Fast

For just a couple I've seen around.

Just as sure as I am that those metal flake flames are gonna look awesome in the south Florida sun.

Get it fired up soon Larry.
