I NEED A FLAG!

Does anyone know where I can get a flag in the Orlando area? I tried the store at Cypress last weekend and they were sold out. I don't want to be one of those law enforcement guys y'all are gripin' about breakin' the law!

Flags can be bought at either West Marine or Boaters World, even seen them at Bass Pro Shop in Orlando, they are cheap plastic but do work. The mounting hardware (pole, spring nuckle, mount) I would get at RAD-COM Inc. 2440 E. Robinson St, Orlando, Fl. 32803. 407-894-1801, this is an old radio shop, great folks and great prices.

The club elected staff may be able to gelp you out to, great group.

Just go to wal-mart and in the bicycle department the'll have a box of orange flags cheap then get your self two hose clamp to put it on the cage.

If you can't find one, make it. A freind of mine and I make two about three years ago and I still have it on. We took a bicycle flag pole and took a orange flag used for wide loads on a lowboy and warp the flag around the pole, put small zip-ties to hold it on and then coated it real good with superglue and let it dry. The wide load flag can be picked up at truck parts stores and also at truck stops. One flag will make two, just cut it to size. when it fades, just spray paint it.

Thank you fellers.

Mongose, I've looked at Boater's World and BassPro. Must not have looked good enough.

The guy that makes most of the flags for all of the air boat shops is trying to get the foundation of his house done and has not had time to make flags for every one but you should be able to get some next week he should have some done if you want pm me and I'll get one and ship it to you I'm talking to him this weekend and putting in my order for 30 flags with my new name Dakotaairboats.com

BoHawg, the flags are located were they have wake boards, ski and that type of gear, took me a while to find them. They come on a short pole wood or plastic, I just take them off then and tie-wrap them to my fiberglass pole that I mounted to the top of my prop cage. Also made one from a extra large mesh orange hunting vest.

How did the flag you made out of the mesh hunting vest work because that is what I was going to make one out of ?

Sniper,
The flag worked great and I still have it. Got the biggest mesh vest I could find. Got enough for two flags 12" X 12", the law calls for 120 square inches, whent over that some . Just had a friend's mom sew around the doubled over border (a reinforcing 1/2" tape was added) all around then I put grommets on one side and used tie wraps to secure it to the fiberglass pole. Cheap, easy and sturdy, plus it is home made.
