I need information on reduction unit

I have finally accepted the fact that I'm going to need a reduction unit before my boat will preform. Where can I hope to find one that will work on a 4 cyl auto engine. Since I'll be reaching 80 hp I doubt that one for an air cooled briggs will hold up. Thanks Glenn

They want over $3000 for a reduction for my 1.6 liter! I can't or wont pay that.

I know that someone somewhere should make a redrive that doesn't require robbing a bank lol.

With the 2:1 belt and gear boxes going for more affordable prices it might be more affordable buying a used one and building or buying a Chevy adapter plate and drilling it for your engine. A bit more weight and loss but bullet proof and probably less expensive. :? Paid $1400 for my 2.68, seen 2/1 for $1000 8)
