Ignition Box Question

SAFARI RICK

Well-known member
I just installed a ignition box on my boat and was wondering if anyone has heard of or known anyone that has had any problems with them due to excessive vibration. The way I'm looking at it Nascar mounts them on the dash and I don't think it'll get anymore abuse on my boat then what they do to them at high speeds. Any input is appreciated.

Dont get me wrong ... I use a MSD also but comparing our boats to nascar is probably fair however I am sure you have noticed that they often have to switch boxes during a race because of failures. They also switch to change rev limiters before anyone reminds me of that.

Make sure of the ground. The ground should be to the engine. Those units also draw a lot of juice so make sure you have a big enough wire and circut to properly feed it.
