i'm looking at this boat

no offense to the seller but looks like a project. Looks like the trailer is shot , metal works are all rusted unless thats some rust colored paint, Price appears to be about the price of the motor however so if its in good shape go from there. If you don't mind doing some work and you like that hull style the price isn't that bad.
As in any boat if the guy says it will run take it for a spin. Look over that prop real good. A deal isn't a deal if you find out you gotta put 4 grand more into it to make sure it'll get you home and keep you safe. Good luck!

it does sound like he asking mostly motor price and the pictures look like you will have a little work but sometime the pictures make them look bad I know that one I have advertised s good little hull but looks like s*** so if you think your interested in that one then take some time and go see it ask to hear it run maybe a test drive

Check the stringers in that old Gore for rot. Hit em to see if they sound hollow. Check for flex. Make sure they are still strong! The price is right, even for a project. For 3K it is what it is.

I run in deep water so that hull would scare me, but most of the Florida folks seem to like the low sides. I have that 220 GPU engine and I love it. It is the most bang I ever got for the money. They are cheap and easy to work on. My engine purrs on auto gas and I even run that corn gas with no problem. If that prop is in good shape it should be worth the money or close to it. I've never bought any of the five boats I have had for the asking price, so, if it's a little less I think you have a bargain. Might need a little work but parts are cheap for that motor.

i took it for a test drive and checked out the hull. the hull is solid but i think i want one with deeper sides and a little wider. the motor seemed to run fine but at an idle (600 rpm's) it had less than 20# of oil pressure, is that normal?the trailer need some work but nuthing i couldnt fix. i dont think it made to run the hill, max speed was only about 25 mph. so i'm still on the lookout for an airboat, and will be gittin one when the right one comes along
