heck with the wood stork ... they taste fishy anyways, nothin like chicken LOL. I would venture if the area is saved it won't be open to airboats anyways so why bother. the wood storks are doin fine I see them everywhere I ride and they are awful big and would hurt my prop badly if I hit one. Lets save the airboaters they are endangered more than a silly bird.
Cowboy, the National Wildlife Federation never met a critter they didn't love more than people.
They'll put you out of business over anything that croaks, crawls, swims, or flys.
I do believe that Capt Jeff meant well with his post above. Sure do.
I'm just getting suspicious of many of these groups, cause the try and act like they are on the side of the sportsman, and are really the excact opposite.
Follow the money. A lot of the people that make very good livings working for organizations like the NWF could really care less about genuine conservation issues.
As long as they can sell the Save the Manatee stuff, the big bucks keep comin in.
When our State tried to take the Manatee off the endangered species list a couple of months ago several of those organizations went ballistic ..... not because of any other reason other than that a huge income source for them would dry up.
