Intake manifold question

I need some wisdom from you performance guys about something. The intake manifold on my DD 350 is a knockoff of the Edelbrock performer RPM air gap, The plenum divider has a "notch" machined in it about 0.5" deep and 2.0" long. If I machine a plug and secure it in there so it looks like there was no notch at all will that help me squeeze a few more lb/ft in my operating range? I want to get a performer eps in the future but for now I'll be using this manifold so I need to know if it's a worthwhile mod. :dontknow:

Being DD you want every bit of low-end possible, so you want to keep both plenums absolutely seperate. So your mod is worthwhile. The Chineses (performance Products) manifold I'm ASSuming you mean may look like a Performer somewhat but is nowhere as good. But also bear in mind that the performer RPM is a litle bigger than you want. There's a company that makes a circle track manifold that is a cross-over design that would really work great...I'll try to remember the name and get back with you.
