It would be so cool to sit across a campfire from that old character for a couple nights. He looks like he's got some tales for sure.

It's interesting he speaks at schools. Probably the best education some kids get.
 
A Land Remembered is a good book. Another one is the biography of Judge Platt.
His story tells of things that very few remember about old Florida.
 
I'd heard his name before when I was a kid.

I never met him. Just lucked up on that site while hunting some historical airboat photo's.

I would'nt mind sitting around a fire, and listen to some of his stories.

Brewster's got some good one too. Real classics.
 
It would be a great oppertunity to sit and listen to him, and this quote is dead on:
"I've watched my favorite place go from paradise to an outhouse," he says, shaking his head. "Progress is necessary. But wildlife has become secondary to humans. That's not right."
