International Coastal Clean-up- Sept. 16

Hello All, Its been a crazy few months and I know you all have tons of things going on. I wanted to let you all know the the International Coastal Clean-up has been scheduled for Sept.16. This is a World-wide clean-up event of all waterways and shorelines. If any of your Airboat Clubs are planning or want to plan a lake/waterway clean-up this is a great event and most of you are already doing clean-ups. I am the coordinator for the state of Florida and can hook you up with the zone-captian in your county if you like, or you can plan your own clean-up and I can get you supplies. Just let me know what you have planned. Thank you again for all the great things that the AIRBOAT clubs are doing across Florida. I assure you that PEOPLE are begining to take notice. Although some groups want INSTANT and GREAT press coverage, these relationships with the media take time and gentle nurturing to achieve the desired coverage, but will come with time. Canefan & Cowboy, is it just going to be the 2 of you on that big 'ol lake with all that trash? I may be able to sneak away for the day. I've never been to "the Big O" on the airboat, sounds like fun. I always like seeing new places, and the clean up is a great idea.

Jan,

I feel certain you know that KRVSA is sponsoring a south end Lake Kissimmee CleanUp next Saturady out of the NEW Shady Oaks Park - not the one we thought we had - but, the one we will have from now on - I guess.

All are welcome and all are encouraged to attend and participate. Hope you have it on your calendar to be there to help. Time to put stuff behind us and move onward and upward.

There will be FREE FOOD - Fish, Hush Puppies, Beans, Slaw, Uncle John's Pride Sweet Sausages and a ton of Good Fellowship.

Looks kinda like the tropical depression / wave / maybe storm might just make the ridin' better, too.

As of this moment there is NOT a coordinator for Lake Okeechobee. How ever I was digging around and found that there is an Airboat Club down there. I am gonna try to find someone from there to organize a cleap-up, unless you want to be my contact for there. or do you happen to know who I might try to contact down there? Unfortunately due to my work schedule, I will be unable to attend the clean-up at Shady Oaks this weekend. I know it will be a great success! Thanks for all you do!
