I had a 750 holley on it but everyone toldme it was to big . so i put the 600 on it . runs a little better .but still hesitates kinda bogs down

the stock quadrajet that caddy's came with were 800cfm. and this is jmo but i think no carb on a dd caddy works as well as the quadrajet.assuming it's a dd.

it is a 13ft bigo hull dd it will run 3000 rpm but any time you give it gas it hesitates and bogs down

that 600 is just right.

seems like you need to check if your fuel pump is working. check for filter fuel filter condition if jets aren't clogged. same with your accelerator pump, check if it squirts uniformly. after that, check your mixture settings, etc.... almost all of hessitations and tendancy to stall are caused by improper fuel flow. oh, may i ask, does it smoothly pick-up RPM if you open the throttle gradually?

the best way to see if your carb is faulty is to borrow a carb of the same make and do a run-up. this way, you are sure what your carb's condition is.

it picks up rpm smooth if you gradually give it gas it rids smooth if you are just cruising but when you go to get onit it hesitates . on a caddy how hot should it run i do not have a aluminum radiator my boat runs 185 to 190

check first if you're not too rich. if not, check your acceleration pump. if it squirts, maybe it's not enough or vice versa (too much squirt). have it adjusted until the hessitation is cured.

185 to 190 seems ok. i checked it. max thermo installed was 195 on stock, majority were 180. i have not run a caddy so maybe some would share better info on this.

on the 500 what is the best why to seal the front and back of the intake manifolds .i toke off the metal gaskets .and put composite intake gaskets on i was told not to put the rubber seal back on the front or back just us black rtv. what is the best why to cut a 72inc 6 blade warp drive icut one before and the metal tips came a part

IF YOU USE RTV ! TAKE A SMALL PUNCH AND DIMPLE THE FLANGE ON THE BLOCK SIDE TO KEEP THE SILICONE IN PLACE ! TRIED IT BOTH WAYS ! I DO THE PAN WITH NO END GASKETS ! I WILL TELL YOU IF A PIECE ON SILICONE COMES APART WITH OUT THE PAN IN THE BACK !YOUR RIGGING WONT RUST FOR 6 MONTHS ! AND YOUR BUDDY BOAT BEHIND YOU ,WONT NEITHER !THERE IS A LOT OF SUCTION BACK IN THAT AREA

her is the name and number cad company 505 823-9340 they work great . they have alot of performance parts for caddy's

MY OPINION-
DONT PURCHASE A SINGLE ITEM FROM 'CAD COMPANY'..........PERIOD.

this is only my opinion backed up only from my direct experience with them. i only spent about 2,000$ dollars with them , so thats not much, but after 7 months of not recieving my merchandise, and a million phone calls, i did finally get my sh*t.

there are a few other very nice people to buy stuff from for caddys, one of them posts on this board as a matter of fact.

does the other company's have composite intake gaskets i do not like the metal gaskets .cad company was the only one i found to have them. on the intake do you guys put the seals on the front and back of the intake or just us rtv

the last link in my above post the Lane's they have them in stock.i dont use either i use the anarobic gasket eliminator around the runners and silicone on the ends.but i get in a big hurry most of the time and don't wont to wait on shipping.
