Is it worth rebuilding 4 cyl.

Have a cont. 4 cyl. with 2 burnt pistons. Cylinders are in good shape no scarring is it worth rebuilding and upgrading to 0220 or 0470 jugs or should I sell it to scrap yard. any idea on price to rebuild if its worth it.
 
I would guess by your post you have a pe-90 unless you just want a excuse to go to six cylinder its cheaper to rebuild it. if you tel us what part of the state are you in there should be someone near by that could point you towards what you need
 
gold i,m in fort pierce the boy is selling it due to bigger boat will let me have it for 200.00 he says shop said crank is good and cylinders are ok complete minus starter.
 
If that is the C-85 you mentioned earlier it sounds like a good engine to build. You can put O-200 cylinders on it but not 220 GPU or O-470 cylinders. The most you're going to see out of it is 100 HP but it is light and on a small boat it could be a lot of fun. Just make sure it is overhauled by someone who knows what he is doing.
 
thanks for all the info. Now trying to find a price for possible rebuild. cant get hold of the man with deckover. but have a 11x7 single seat glass hull at the right price just trying to spend money wisely to get the most with out momma putting me in the dog house.
