Istokpoga camping?

you could camp on bumble bee island,there is enough room but the skeeters are fierce. maybe not so bad with the cooler weather.entrance is on the north side about middle of island look for some cypress trees,clearing.. also there is a large hill on the west side of the lake about a mile north on rutledge canal , you can pull boats up on the hill,plenty of flat space and always a breeze, have fun....
 
Just camped on the little Island last weekend 8) Skeeters wern't to bad but had good fire and plenty of citronella going. :shock: ...shortest ride is from CYPRESS ISLES>$3.00 ramp fee. and safe parking!!! :wink: A few nice frogs in the grass and down the mud-trails around the island......good luck :!: PS watch out for the banana-spyders :!: and the Kowala-Bears :!: :!: :shock: yes real KOALA BEARS THE EAT UKALIPTUS TREES AT DAY AND AT NIGHT SCORPIONS AND FROGS!!!!!DON"T LEAVE ANY FOOD OUT OR ELSE THE BEARS IN THE TENT LOOK MUCH BIGGER INSIDE THE TENT THAN OUTSIDE ESPECIALLY SHADOWING IN THE FIRE! :!: :!: :!: no bs :P .........camp is on the north side of island ...sand flat area with cypress mud slide parking or turn around watch out for the grill and burry your fire pit. when you leave. please :!: plenty of wood and some camp materials there. recomend bring some old carpet for the cypress knees. :idea: Some fire ants don't drop any potatochips if ya know what I mean :!: :!: :x 10 min ride from Hendersons $3.00 ramp fee if there open at bait shop if not its free and SAFE PARKING .... :lol: ...but must give old gaurd dog "sally" Yellow-lab a treat and all your lunch meat when you come back!!!!! 8)
 
Gatorfrog awesome info this is only my second time to Isto first time was a night trip couldnt tell were i was. Is this little island easy to find? There are Ucelyptus trees on the island? Sounds fun and cant wait. Did you fill a sack?
 
its easy to find on the sw side of the lk, and the camping area is on the north side of the island tucked into the cypress, theres 2 islands the big island is on the east side just west of mossy cove, if you leave hendersons head sse and youll see it the south side is open and the north side is covered in bullrush
 
Great info guys but looks like Ill be goin again at night cant leave here till after 6:00 saturday was just checkin out google earth there are three islands that run from the sw cor of the lake Northeasterly the first not lookin to thick than there is a "BUMBLEBEE ISLAND" and then the "BIG ISLAND" names per google you guys have google by chance if so could you give me some rough coordinates on the campin spot with the koalas I told the old lady and shes flippin out hope your not pullin my leg gatorfrog . Thanks
 
The spot gatorfrog is talking about is on bumblebee island its on the north side of it. If you look its only about a ten foot hole in the cypress trees then it opens up once you get into it.Its easy to find once you get there.I hope that helps.If you have problems finding it call me and I will try to guide you to it.941-812-5476
