Just curious about these hulls, i do not know anything about them or how they ride, currently runa 13 ft lazer and it is about time for a new hull, kinda wanta something different. If anyone has any info i would appreciate it.
well thats what i was going to buy but i got a deal on anothe rhull i couldent pass up from what i hear it a flat free running hull and its guaranteed its probley on the top 3 made if not # 1 their high priced but u pay for what u get .
I saw an add in the GTO classified section that had Jimmy White hulls from $2200 for a 13 foot boat to $2950 for a 16 foot boat. They look just like the Laser hull to me. Those prices seem reasonable for a new hull.
Do they ride like a step hull (free running) or do they dig and turn sharp like a lazer I love my lazer but I just want that feeling that a step hull gives you in the form of a ride hull I think thats why the jimmy white caught my eye.
i'm pretty sure they ride like a lazer very fast and stable not a lot of sliding have owned both and they ride the same very stable and very fast you can't go wrong with either boat
Not 8ft wide. Look at my pic's in the gallery and you will see what his flat bottom boats look like. go to ford power's to see what his new ride boats look like. They say what ever a person runs they think is the best but ride on one or talk to some one who runs them. I love them and love to go fast and as you know most of fast is in the hull.
A few of my personal opinions about the 13x8 Jimmy Hull.
1. When I was looking I was a huge apache fan. I wanted a boat that would carry the kind of load my 8 ft wide apache would. The Jimmy White boat will in my opinion haul more.
2. Price wise I don't think he is more expensive then anyone else for the size hull you are getting.
3. I talked to a few people who made a wide boat. They were dead set on doing things there way. I wanted the boat my way. Jimmy had no problem with this. In particular I wanted the nose cut down and I did not want the huge stringers in the boat.
4. I can only speak for the wide boat but I really like it. It runs very free does not porpoise and handles great. I am in Cocoa and will gladly take anyone for a ride if they like.
Here is a pic that I took. I ran the boat up the ramp at Lake Washington down into the parking lot and up over in the grass on the east side by the Palm Trees. Big Gator was laying on the bow and the others were on the side. Both guys in the back seat. A lot of weight for the boat to run that well on the hill.
