John Anderson riding an Airboat

Went to the show that John Anderson put on at the Hernando County Fair Friday night. Was sitting and waiting for him to start and I heard what sounded like an airboat ,then from around the back here comes John. He was driven from around back and up to the stage in what look to be a 14' fiberglass airboat nice looking boat. I forgot the camera in the truck so I didn't get any pictures of him or the airboat. But it was pretty cool seeing him ride up in it.

Mudpuppy, get your hands on a copy of John's video for "Seminole Wind". It shows Big John (and a couple of buddys) runnin out through the Glades on a nice deckover. VERY cool video.

He's from Apopka, FL.

Yeah, he's definitely one of us. Back in '84 he had his '56 Chevy parked two spaces away from my Dad's '57 at the Kissimmee Classic 55,56,57 car show. He had his car on display with some promo stuff from the song Swingin. He was already famous, but still livin like the rest of us.

We were just talking about that last night. The owner of Scorpion Airboats has a photo with John Anderson and some other big stars with one of his boats.

I'm a big John Anderson fan. He's a TRUE (and one of the few) country artist. Country is as country does.

I couldn't agree more john's just a good ol boy i've been to several of his concert's and he's as humble and down to earth as anybody you could meet. it makes me sad to hear his song seminole wind it get's me to thinkin all the wilderness of florida that has been taken away and replaced with city's and people.

Seminole Wind is a prophesy. John Anderson is an icon for Florida airboaters ....... humble, involved, loves our heritage, and misses our past.

New Residents will never 'get it' but we can never stop fighting for what we know is rightfully ours. History would like to tell us that the South lost the Civil War.
Really? Then how is it that we still have so much Pride in our place in history? You can never lose if you refuse to be defeated. God Bless Dixie.

I tell you what as a kid I saw just about every concert there was in Florida from just about every entertainer that played here. At the Felda airboat races John and Confederate Railroad did a concert. It was one of the best times I ever had at a show. Think about Airboat races followed by swamp buggies and mud trucks followed by John Anderson plus all the cute betty's running around It was a great time for all to bad I only remember parts of it.
