I've been visiting the board for some time and decided to sign up so I could search and thank all of you for the information I've gained while reading your forum.
I have a smaller boat used for fishing here in PA. on the Susquehanna River..
It is an Aluminum hull with an 18 hp Briggs, 42 inch homemade prop, trolling motor, etc. It will plane out with just me on board but I usually have to seek out lower water which is no problem here. Many places are only a few inches deep during the summer.
After owning a few airboats, I decided to stay a light as possible. I'm still experimenting with motor choice but do not want to go any heavier because of floating while fishing. The hull was made by a local guy and is an older design.
EDIT: the boat is 16 ft long and about 6 ft wide.
Also, here's a link to a site I started on my boat and fishing in this area.

Thanks Again,
