KILLIN' SPREE

Quackcephus

Silent Prop
R. I. P.
Me & several of my huntin' pardnuh's spent the last 5 days on a KILLIN' SPREE here in N TX :?:

Since we haven't had out traditional T-Day Cold Front help us out with new migratin' ducks we had to go GROUND CAV on that @$$... mobile & hostile

We would hunt every mornin' & then scout every afternoon to find the next concentration of ducks & their pattern. This paid off for us as we were always on ducks, enough to limit everyone in our group... 2 days there were 3 of us, 1 day there were 4 of us & 2 days there were 2 of us... that's 70 ducks

We killed a mixed straps of Mallards, Widgeon, Gadwall, Pintail, Green Wing Teal & a Cinnamon Teal :D

We're gonna make sausage out of the ducks that don't make it to the dressin' or the skillet or the grill :D

We didn't have anywhere near the day you had, but in Ozello the good ducks seem to slowly be making a comeback. We actually killed widgeons for the first time since the late 80's! We had some good flights of teal and killed more good ducks than we have in over 20 years!

Good deal Duece... the Central Flyway is changin' as well

I've never made it... but I sure have eattin' it... a summer jalopeno & cheese sausage is hard to get around or put down, especially with a cold Shiner Bock in hand  :toothy10:

Bein a red meat, a lot of the old recipes for pork should work pretty well. Maybe instead of so much black pepper a man could add just a splash of hot sauce ..... .

It would be fun (and tasty) to play around with.

Quack, where exactly do you hunt in north Texas? I hunt the Texas coastal marsh from west Galveston Bay to Aransas Pass.
