Kissimmee River History

I never knew that Dead River between Cypress and Hatchineha is actually part of the old Kissimmee River!!

Adam, that is Interesting I also read it the first time I stayed at Thomas landing. Dead river is very nice, too bad that more of it Is'nt open for hunting. The old river also ran behind the canal that runs from Hatchineha to Kissimmee. To bad the the save our rivers program did not keep that streach of swamp. I have killed alot of deer from the bridge back to lake Kissimmee before that ranch Bronson ranch I think took back the rights to it and posted it. I called it my honey hole.. :twisted:
