There must be a hundred guys here that will give up their prime hunting spots.

Carnage didn't ask for a map of all the best spots to drink beer and laugh at kicker boats.

Also need to specify if going North or South of 60? Two different scenarios, both involve a lot of walking if taking a kicker boat.

When I used my center console out there to hunt, it required a small wade onto the shore. I would have to tie up the boat as close to the shore as possible. I was careful to not park on a blind corner and to tie an orange vest on my stick-it-anchor pin above the boat. This acted as a flag to warn my fellow air boaters my boat was parked there.

A center console is hard to hunt from out there unless you're gator hunting.

Thanks.we went today and saw 4 deer and a couple hogs.all too far for bow range.besides the heat it worked out great.

I just noticed this is referring to river pools south of Highway 60. I have not been further than the turn in for River Ranch so disregard what I said. I have always wanted to spend time down there, just never find myself there for some reason. Is there a launch site now to put in directly on the south side of 60?

How was the traffic?

Was the river better suited for a center console or airboat. On YouTube there’s nothing but large groups of seadoos hauling a$$ down the river. They are about to take the A$$hole crown from the bass-boaters

Zero traffic.a few vehicles parked at the ramp before daylight.but never seen anyone other the the lock tender.we put in around 5:45am.i think you will have a better opportunity with an airboat but if you don't mind a small hike a kicker boat will be fine.
