Kissimmee River south of HWY 60

Is it worth riding if I put in at 60 and head south?? I've fished some of that just a little south of River Ranch but not far and I wasn't real impressed. Does it get better or do I need to drive down near Avon Park before putting in?? I'm just looking to check out someplace new while I'm down in Plant City for Christmas.

Was down there about 2 yrs ago . Not much gas down that way. better take plenty with you. But al in all it was a good ride. we didn't stay in the canal much.

it a 10 mile ride from 60 to the restored river and marsh the ramp east qn 98 between okeechobee and sebring is right on the bottom end of the marsh probaly worth the drive pm me your # ill call you tell all about the area or ill sadddle up an show ya

That is one of the best places I have ever been. I went in after Maxi sold to the state and before the state posted it. What a beutiful piece of woods. Un fortunatley you can't do that now. Still pretty place though.

its not posted it does however have its boundrys where no air boat signs are, I hunted there 2weeks ago good huntin ,frogin & fishin
