By request, here is a membership application for KRVSA. Copy / paste and print the app. Fill it out, add your check and send it in.

This is the airboat club that was founded in 1988 and among many accomplishments; successfully sued to open the Gardner Marsh and Florida's Inland Navigable Waterways to public - AIRBOAT - use.

Harvey,

From the first time I saw the Kissimmee chain I joined the KRVSA! This is an area like Cntry says could be one of our last 3 "strongholds" for airboating in the future. Thank you to all involved in this club for makin' it happen!

Sent my membership in 5 wks ago have not heard anything.Anyone have a phone number I can call.I was having so much fun this weekend I forgot to check while I was down there.

We signed up at the swap meet Skeeter. We've not heard in about as long, I already asked and got a very logical answer:

They hold onto your check till the next meeting, and the board of directors votes on your membership. That's why it's an APPLICATION. To be honest, I can't figure out any reason why they'd want to exclude anyone, but that's how they work it, and I'm not arguing. It's probably more of a vote like "Accept these 30 new members?" "aye"

Laura and I are looking forward to becomming part of the KRVSA - especially since we're now looking for a house in Polk. It's a noble club that get's it done, and we want to be a part of that.

And it's starting to look like the KRVSA is becomming THE UNIFIED VOICE with which airboaters are speaking. Along with the FAA of course. Same voice. Same message. Besides, since the FAA don't allow individual citizens to join it's membership, KRVSA sounds like the place for us.

There is a KRVSA meeting tomorrow night (Thursday) and after that we'll be members official. :)

Danny is a stickler for doing things by the book with the club....which tends to help keep a lot of mistakes from happening....so don't worry, Matt's right, you'll hear something soon.

I sent my application and money and they already put the check through the bank. I sent it last week and I looked today and it was put through. So may be patience will work in this situation. They just finished up the lake cleanup and things are crazy I am sure.

KRVSA, like FAA and SA is an all volunteer organization. There are a few who "volunteer" more than others and the leadership has been very busy with SFWMD issues, the Lake Cleanup, Melissa's boat and other things.

The printshop that produced our newsletters has changed ownership and their service level fell quickly - to the point where our newsletter was mailed after the meeting several times. The club is wrestling with that one as it costs almost $250.00 a month to produce and mail - currently.

Heather Muzzy is our club Secretary. She processes your membership and adds you to the data base. She's a terrific airboater with two beautiful young daughters and a typical redneck husband that all keep her jumping. She will GetRDone, if problems persist, let her know. PM me and I'll give you her email address.

BigDaddy,

So few sportsmans clubs in my life as 'hardcore" as the K.R.V.S.A. :salute:

Airboaters are truly blessed to have Danny and everyone else who puts so much into this club!

I want to join, but I'm currently in Iraq with no checkbook. I wish you had a website and the ability to accept credit cards. I just bought a new airboat while I was home on leave and would happily support anyone that's willing to fight to protect our airboating rights.
