Thought for sure there was a thread running about the KRVSA Freedom Ride and Cookout on Saturday, Feb. 17th.

Now, I can't find it.

The details:

KRVSA will host an event to celebrate our Airboating Heritage

ALL AIRBOATERS ARE WELCOME - WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

Drasdo Oaks on Lake Hatchineha

Strategy session headed by Bonnie Basham, Bob Hoover & Danny Brantley

Update on Osceola County's efforts to impose an airboat curfew

SFWMD's efforts to "manage" Lower Kissimmee River System

Donations will be accepted to benefit FAA

Catfish, Daddy Dave's Hush Puppies, Uncle John's Pride sausages, Gena's Cheeze Grits - fresh, hot food served from noon on...

Sunset @ Bullshit - then a

Saturday Night Freedom Ride through our marsh - weather & water level permitting

Looking forward to this ride. Need a fix.

The FAA will be selling raffle tickets. All monies received go to the "Bonnie" fund. Tickets are $5 each and the items available are pretty cool.

A $500 dog box, a Colorado Hunting trip, a Tarpon fishing trip just to name a few.

The raffle tickets will also be available at the upcoming events, GTO swap meet, Palm Beach Airboat show etc. You do not have to be present to win. The drawing will be April 7th at the KRVSA lake clean up.

Hopefully we'll have terrific weather and some more rain so we can visit that area which was so conveniently drained dry after last year's rainy season. Guess some figure there's more than one way to skin a cat.

As with the Reunion last fall, there'll be plenty of help there. mechanics, engine builders, metal works gurus, prop masters..you name it. Drag it, drive it, tow it, float it, tote it, fly it, push it, pull it

Just Come and be a Part of the first ever Airboat Freedom Ride.

Looks like we might really get some significant rain on Tuesday evening. NWS forecasts a major rain event on Tuesday. Water in the marsh might be Just Right.

Monday morning weather radar shows solid yellows and reds over Gardner Cobb Marsh.....more on the way. Looks like the Man Upstairs wants us to Ride, Ride, Ride.

Don't know about the rain north of here but drove in solid rain all the way from southern Highlands county to Moore Haven this morning....do the dance! :thumbleft:
