I know this is out of the Club section...for a reason.
In the past few weeks several important challenges have risen for Florida airboaters and KRVSA seems in the middle of all of them.
1) Osceola County's announced effort to pass a county ordinance concerning airboat sounds - with the provision of an additional ability to impose a curfew on airboat operation on county waters including Lakes Cypress, Kissimmee, Toho, Hatchineha and connecting wetlands.
2) SFWMD pushing FFWCC Officers to write armed trespass citations for individuals hunting below the KRVSA vs.McNamarra established high water lines on Lake Hatchineha.
3) Sudden appearance of "No Trespassing" signs along the northwestern shores of Lake Hatchineha (Walker Ranch / Nature Conservancy lands) in the last day or two - out in the existing airboat trails and far into our navigable waters - can any say "Kissimmee River PUA ??"
If you stand to be affected by any or all of these actions, we ask that you attend and support our efforts. Oh, there'll be free food and soft drinks, too.
Meeting starts at 7:00 PM at the Bartow Civic Center, 2250 S. Floral Ave
Bartow, FL 33830
