Gota call from Roho that cntry had came by scramble town and they were fitin his propless thirteen footer up with a propeller so roho could go froginn with us Saturday night. So I comenced to get things ready to go ,actualy cheryl did most of the packing.Met up with cntry at the volusia Bar rampat around four .He had Hawk and laurie there talkin airboats .Roho at the time was headed to My place to get cntry" big ride so we figured we would ease on down to the pasture so he could try the ten blade warp drive out.Cntry was like a youngin with a new toy.Me I had to try out the Booger weed on the pasture. Now what I call booger weed is a very low growing plant mabe three inches high that when drivin on breaks down into some sort of glue and no airboat is imune to its effects. It grabed me ,I did a couple of spins and wiggled free but it was a chore.later I tried the thirteen footer on the pasture and it also came to a halt but being a little lighter didn't have as hard of time breakin loose.
The Prop they put on the thirteen footer was a 10 blade warp drive set at 13 degrees turnin 5600 rpm behind a 2.38 box.We were very interested in how the boat would prefom with this set.it did a good job equal to the 3 blade stump puller however it had the warp drive sound to go with it. I' say the Bullit 383 did a fine job.Cntry left Cheryl and I to meet up with Roho and swap boats. While we waited for there return I took the oppertunity to get my frogin equipment ready.
The boy's returned with Roho runin the little thirteen foot slider hull he was very timid not being familar with the way these boats handle .This paticular boat handles kinda like a step hull, realy loves to slide ya havta steer it with the throttle.
After a little Bs with some other boaters we lit off to ninemile hopeing to get there at dark 30.Started froggin cntry was doing excellant as always,Roho was havin trouble findin the right frog and I was doin alright ,till I went to stab a goodin and my gig shot out of my hand.No problem I thought I'll just step down and get it wrong some how I'd forgotten I was with out walk boards and fell in the water.Needless to say it was cold and not to deep.Got dried off went to start gigin again and noticed I could n't see ,no glasses .I didn't even notice they were gone off my head ,I borrowed cheryl's we were back gigin.got me a few more and the motor shut down no fuel pressure, pump went bad.FRom willow cove back to Volusia Bar took Roho 2.5 hours towin the boat and He took the short cut by going straight across the lake .The trip started out smooth by the time we got to the Jettys the lake was almost white capping.
During our journey cntry stayed behind to gather a sack full of frogs . He came a huntin us and it didn't even cross is mind that Roho would take the short cut by the time he found us we were almost across maybe a five mile crossing in deep water.Cheryl and I transfered over to Cntry's boat thinking Roho would have a easier time pulin my boat.A few minutes later Roho stoped and when we check he said the boat pulled better with Cheryl and I so cheryl and I swaped boats again. After a few minutes Roho leaned down and said That the boat didn't pull any better he was just lonely,ya gotta love em.Any now that about sums up another good adventure .I did promise Roho and cntry that I wuold fix my weak s!@# bfore the next time out.
