Lake Okeechoee

OVER BUDGET

Well-known member
I will be heading over saturday to do some scouting.I know the lake is low but has anybody been seeing any ducks?I will be putting in at sportsmans and heading to the pasture.

Plenty of Birds seen near Moonshine. Really low water, but plenty for us. See picture on recent post about more duck hunting pics from Texas. We put in at Fish Eating creek and ran a good bit.

I am going to Moonshine bay Saturday to hunt out of my jon boat. Is there enough water to get around?? I did not have any time to scout so I am going to just show up and hope for the best, Any other suggestions for deeper water? Thanks and see yall over there!!

Not to be negative, but if you have not been there, your in for a suprise. If it were me and I were in J boat, I would stay in front of the Monkey box tucked in on the south edge. Water is really low, and the scenery has definitely changed. Well both be enjoying the mahem in the morning.

BTW, last week when everyone scouted the wind pushed a lot of water in the pasture....bet the level dropped 6 inches this week in there.

When I was in the pasture last Saturday I wished I had wheels on the bottom of my boat, but I was surprised of the number of ducks. It should be a good opener.
