Governor Jeb Bush and the Florida Legislature will recognize the airboaters of Florida who worked to rescue and alleviate the suffering of the citizens of New Orleans following the flooding caused by Hurricane Katrina. Commissioner Charles Bronson, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, will announce the proclamation in the House chambers.

The acknowledgement will take place Friday, April 21, 2006 at the State Capital.

Here is the Proclamation as written by FAA-VP Bob Hoover.
Thanks Bob!

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the Governor and Cabinet of the State of Florida have hereunto subscribed their names and have caused the Official Seal of the State of Florida to be hereunto affixed in the City of Tallahassee on this 21st day of April, 2006.

I wrote the first draft of the Resolution, but it took the great insight and professional experience of our lobbyist, Bonnie Basham, to turn it into what you see now.

I need the names, addresses, and phone numbers of ALL the volunteers who went to New Orleans for the rescue operation. If you are one, or know one, please PM or call me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Home: 352-560-7025; Cell 352-400-5131. The reason is, these need to be printed ahead of time, so this has to be done quickly!

Thanks!

Bob
