Levitator 6.2 LSA help

Did you lift a head? Pushing compression into the coolant? I had a supercharged 5.8 Shelby engine with 20 psi of boost keep lifting the heads with the stock Ford torque to yield bolts. The engine builder refused to acknowledge that it needed ARP studs. It would idle fine but when you took it upstairs it would blow coolant all over the windshield. FR500S road course Mustang. ARP and a fresh surface on the heads, it never did it again. Took twice dropping the K-member though. I would suggest getting it to temp and performing a leak down test.

Start with the cap and replace it with a high quality part such as STANT brand with the same pressure rating.

Make sure you are not watering down the coolant as water boils at a lower temp and mixing types (orange - green) will cause other issues.

The LS engines also are sensitive to air in the systems so research that and how to burp it.

Ensure proper coolant height and try it. Don't over fill it as heated coolant expands, so proper cold level is important.

Like HD mentioned I also have seen heads lift, while not very common in a stock application it can happen. If someone tweaked your boost / tune then that points to a possible cause.

Let us know what you find!

Around 50 hours I would suspect it's not an air entrapment issue. Unless this has been a problem since new. Obviously the degas tank needs to be the highest point in the system. Caps should be able to hold 16 psi, factory is 13. If it's not showing an overheating issue then it shouldn't be building pressure to overcome the cap assuming said cap is not defective.

Check with a local auto parts store, they used to rent a coolant system pressure tester that also checks the cap. If not, you can buy the kit on Amazon, it's a good tool to keep around.

Harbor Freight has a pressure testing kit fyi
