Hurricane Katrina showed us the power and fury of Mother Nature, but she has also shown us the generosity and caring of one person for another.
Stan Floyd, owner of American Airboat Corp. in Orange, is one of those people. He left for New Orleans late last week.
"We're meeting up with some people from the Salvation Army when we get there," Floyd said. "I was told there is one building that no one has been able to get to that has nearly 300 people trapped in it." . . .
