Looking for a spot to see gators!

Can someone tell me where would be a great place to drop in at to take the family to ride around and my boys really want to see some alligators. We were at Holiday Park last weekend and after riding around for over 2 hours finally saw one gator when we were less than a 1/4 mile from the docks. Most boring ride ever. But we did catch some nice size bass. Guess it wasn't all bad!

Can't garentee see'in gators but you and your boys will have a good time if you come out to the tree house tomorrow :thumbleft:

Thanks for the invite pipedog. If we come out there where do I put in and how do I find it? I would be coming from Palm Beach so I guess headed west on Southern. Not to familiar with the east side of the lake. I think my father-in law was coming also but can't be at my house until 11 due to he works the graveyard shift. If you give brief directions I'm sure I could find it. GPS works just fine. lol

take southern blvd west to Belle Glade when you get to where rt80 takes a left go straight as far as you can. you will come to a street were you have to turn( I think at this point you can see the levie around lake) make a left turn go a couple miles make your first right hand turn at the second light. this will bring you to the boat ramp(Slims fish camp and Belle Glades public ramp). After you put in go out to the rim canal and turn right and go a 1/4 of a mile and turn thru the first cut in you come to. There is a main trail that go's strait to the tree house. Take the middle trail (the bigger trail) and ride. Look for the big banyan trees and tall royal palms. It's pretty easy to find, you might hook up with some other boats at the ramp also.

Get the permit and ride up Fisheating Creek WMA. Ask the officers where you can ride once you get in the marsh. You'll see gators. The water is still good up there. Watch for fence lines though.
