I'm looking to build a new alum. deck-over with a 302 and gear drive my personal boat is a diamond back 12'6 with 520 cont. i would like to go 13'6 or 14 ft. on this boat any recommendation's on a good hull builder woul be appreciated

Donny Tuten of Don's Aircraft on Belvedere Rd. in West Palm Beach, FL is another who builds a fine Palm Beach stlye deck over boat.

If you want a glades style riveted deckover I would go with Don Davis down in Homstead. I don't have his number right now but can get it. He builds some of the nicest riding fulldecks down here.

I have a buddy that just moved to my neck of the woods, who is biulding riveted deckovers. They are probably the best biult boats i have seen in a while.Ill see about getting his number and some pics for you.He is from the glades.

I have seen two Scorpion deck boats and have been impressed with the quality and the looks. They are right up the road from my office, in O'Brien, FLA

Be hard to beat one of the PB styled boats. If ya can find an old one that is. Cowboy might be able to help or check the Airboat trader. Not sure they are idealy suited for automotive engines though, better ask someone who knows first.

Car motors work fine on a PB if they're not too heavy, Scotty. Waterthunder runs one .......

Thank's for the input guy's i'm just settin up shop and i want to deal with a hull builder that's more concerned with putting out a good product at a fair price than braggin about how successfull they are (name's withheld) I've got a good line on glass hull's with predator but alot of people that have ridden my deck-over say they like it so i want to be able to offer it to them. Thank's scott.

Feather that speaks LOADS for the hull in my opinion. Will make me feel REALL comfortable if I can find an O-360 for one ! Don't know why, but I had Thunder figured for a big-3 or 4 man. If I can find a Taylor I'll just grinn from ear to ear. Especially if its in decent shape.
