There was a fellow in Lk Wales that rebuilt mags and GPU engines: worked for James Comebee back in the day.

No way of knowing, but it sounds like you may well be referring to Tom Jeffords.

I thought his handle was 'Speed Wheelie' (or something similar), but a search is not confirming that.
