Welcome Gatorbait, this place is best lil'ol airboat club in the world.
If its been that long since you've been there you may not know that it is now
BIG CYPRESS NATIONAL PRESERVE
you have to get your airboat inspected at the visitors center, you get an orientation class, pay the fee, and then you can get your annual permit sticker.
south of loop road (stairsteps unit) is the only place the public can operate an airboat in the big cypress national preserve.
while in the big cypress national preserve you may only operate your vessel within 50' of the posted trails.
I know that there are other members on here with more info, maybe they will share
i hope this helps a little
hey it getting dry down there plus i think your in for some rocky riding anywhere south. even though you have to stay on the trails polymere bottom may get pretty ate up. I know they are planning on opening up county line trail but when I'm not sure. maybe opening some others too but when? water is down real low at park line ramp only way in is mitchells landing now but it's drying up fast. hope this helps
have not been there in many years, but the trails are pretty safe. A lot of guys run SS bottoms and for a reason, so take that for what it's worth. Check with someone at the AAof F......
