Well all I can say is whoever didn't go ... shoulda. The water is high that is true but hat lets you run all the way up to those little bitty signs that say don't run here, LOL. Big daddy took swampjet, A1 and myself on a tour somewhere or another, he did a fine job of leading the way up until I had a malfunctioning alternator bracket ... again. He then let me lead probably so they wouldn't have to come back and look for me again ..LOL.
The marsh out there is just that, a true marsh as in no trails, I guess there may be some but we didnt find many of them we just made our own and the place was not beat to death. The obstacle course really is not much of an obstacle it is more like a high speed, how stupid do you wanna get to win course, but it was fun to watch and wonder who was gonna sink or blow up a prop or rip up something.

All in all it was a good time and sure coulda stood to see more members out there. Uncle Bubba was there and Jim both were boatless but present and accounted for. Moodfood and the mood mobile were there and man that thing is quiet, except for the horn LOL. Swampjet told him to scuff that new bottom up on a sand road but didnt explain enough so it was an adventure for them but they done well.

Ya'll shoulda been there is all I can say.

All true and you have a way with words for sure. We did not damage our near perfect record of getting stuck, but we are both getting good at freeing an airboat from the grip of the land.

We put in at Hwy 50 and went out to play and test drive our newly modified boat for a few hours in the flats near Pawpaw mound. Man, there is some great skinny water down there!!! 2" deep for acres makes for some fun doughnuts and slippin' -n- slidin'. Laura had a blast driving the boat most of the day. She's a really good driver! And I got a chance to sit back and enjoy the sights along the way. :)

I learned from a nasty glance from a spectator a ways down the bank, watching the race, that I need to yell LOUDLY "PLUG YOUR EARS" before I toot the train horn, but to the kid or two standing nearby, sure lit up their faces with smiles when the "sound vibrations" (as the Trudster would put it) re-arranged their innards. It's more fun to blow that thing out in the marsh.

Yep we are muffled now. I like it. Still some minor details to do... like run a little more flex pipe out of the boat. It may be quieter for those outside the boat, but inside the boat it's as loud as it ever was. The mufflers are under the radiator, pointing to the sides. I ran out of flex pipe to get the exhaust out to the sides of the boat.

good food and fun was there on saturday.

Sorry we could not make the ride, it was a bit disorganized, and we just made it back to our truck in time for the chilly weather of evening. We did not pack any jackets or stuff like that.

But hey, the boat ran dry.... sort of. I cant wait to give it a real test. We'll go back there when there is not 200 other boats there taking up all the parking spots!!! Lots of room for error if we get wild.

It was nice to see wome friendly faces there.... Bubba - I got a GREAT photo of your daughter. I'll e-mail it to you real soon. Internet keeps going out all day today... not sure this is even going to post.

thanks Loughman for the fun...

Thank you all for coming out, I hope everyone had a great time. I will try to hold events similar to this throughout the year to allow airboaters a chance to get together.

My kids and I had a great time. Thinks A1 for letting my kids and myself ride with you on the run. We had a super time on your boat.Thank you one more time.
Mood got the email you sent of the rug rat. Thats my little frogger/airboater realy both of them are. Go everywhere with me.
But I can say onething the next time I will drag the boat up there for a ride.
Bobby yall have I super nice place up there. All of your staff was very friendly. I will say the best of the best. I give the service 5 stars. I will be at your next get together.

Glad you could come for a ride Uncle Bubba. You better be glad you didn't come on that ride that BD took us on I has enough grass in the boat at the end of the run to make a bale of hay. BUT IT WAS FUN!!!

Bubba we thought of changing his name from mudpuppy to GRASSHOPPER LOL It was a good ride there was only one or two places that got sticky and almost always had water down there somewhere in the grass. I believe everyone could have made the whole run without much of a problem now when the water goes down some that will be a different story for sure but it was sweet that day.
