Loughman's Lodge

Yep had dsupper there saturday night with moodfood, airboat RN and the cutest little girl, HARMONY, since my daughter was that age.

Food was good, company was great and scenery was excellent inside and out, sorry laura there I go again LOL

Glad to hear about that restaurant being open.

I've got a Friday afternoon/evening ride planned, so I think I'll go have a cold one with Carl & check out their catfish dinner.

Thanks again cntry for the ride and the wings. I REALLY like the fries there at the lodge.

And this is your newest (& smallest) fan cntry - not only was your ride her first on an airboat, it was her first ride on ANY boat. You ruined her for sure! For the rest of her life all boat rides will pale in comparison to a night ride on an airboat in a moonlit marsh.

Sitting there in the lodge dining room, I'll bet the advice you gave her will stick with her for life... "When a young gent comes knocking on your door asking for a date, tell him NOT UNLESS YOU HAVE AN AIRBOAT!!"

Harmony is 3 1/2 years old. How old is Tristan, Rick? And Harmony lives in the Geneva/Oviedo area - so odds are better that she'll meet a young airboater in that area. ;)

Thanks again cnrty. What a fun evening that was!

FYI... Loughman's hours are (I think)
CLOSED mondays
open till 7 pm weeknights
open till 10 on Friday & Saturday
I don't know sunday's hours.

Rick, tell Carl that matt & laura say howdy! We're hoping for a sunday ride up there in our new slippery bottomed fiberglass boat. Possibly re-named "The Glass Slipper". :) Credit to Laura for that new name!

Tristan's about the same age Matt and he sure pays special attention to pretty little (or big) girls like Harmony. Him and his brother are already airboater's and there's no doubt in my mind that they'll have their own someday, as long as that option is still available then.

I'll make sure I tell Carl hi for you. BTW, did he ever get that picture of Hoho's boat to hang on the wall at the Lodge?

We'll have to get her out on our boat sometime Rick. We seem to cross paths at loughman a lot, so it'd probably be there. I'm not sure I want to take her along on an all day outing such as a monthly run or anything just yet though.

As for Ho-ho's action shot... No it is not on the wall there yet. But I have an 8x10 on my camera card that I need to take to Walgreens to get printed. I'm hoping to get that done today or tomorrow, and I'll take it with me to the lodge along with a CD of all the movies and photos of the last obstacle race.

I did email that photo along with some of the others to Ashley at Diamondback, so if they jumped on the project, it may already be there.

A few weekends ago, Carl was all excited about that photo, and was telling us all about how he was gonna stick it on the wall... He was a little surprised when I told him I was the one who took it!

Have fun up there today Rick. And If we can get our boat put back together by sunday morning, We'll be going out there Sunday afternoon for trial runs.

matt.
