ls water sensor question

Is it ok to just run a sensor from the radiator or will that not be a good idea with all the computer sensors?

Also I noticed some water lockoffs on the heads anyone familiar with these and are they necessary for proper plumbing?

I only planned an expansion tank with maybe a catch tank

Depending on the electronic need? Ls have two ports, one on the front left and rear right, and if efi one is not an option to tap into then go rear right. Moving a sensor is of course an option for non computer controlled ls builds but have to maintain the flow and temp of the block, not where you choose to put the sensor?

The temperature sender for the wiring harness goes in the front of the driver side head. The temperature sender for the instrument panel goes in the passenger side of the water pump. You also need to run crossover tubes between the heads.
