Lycoming Aircraft engine

Kwan is correct. Without knowing what pistons are in it then you wont know for sure. Most likely it will have 10207 pistons in it. They are 8.7:1 compression. If that is the case then I would guess 290 to 300. That engine from Lycoming came with 7 or 7.5 to 1 pistons because it was turbo charged. I have had 2 of them in the past and love them. If it was fuel injected with 10:1 pistons that would make it 310ish HP.

More than just compression. My 540 was low compression in the 7 but the motor tag was 315 @3200 a geared motor. It has a good thump to the cam. Originally came with twin ma5s, So hp may be off a bit if only going by compression.
