I had planned on some duck hunting this winter here in N Fl. and was looking for info on using 15/50 areoshell vs the 100. at 25$ more a case any ideas if its worth the added expense in an 0540?
I used 15/50 in my Cessna 182 with a 0470L and the benifit is better/quicker lubrication and oil pressure buildup at cold temperatures. I could start my engine without a preheat at 15 below zero and could not do that with 100.
I used the 15-50 in my O360 powered Super Decathalon during the IL winters when I lived up there. I also preheated when below 30 degrees F for extra protection.
