Lycoming oil temp

Sorry to jump on your thread, but what should the Oil Pressure be as well as the temp...?

I run a Lycoming 150 - 4 Cyl.

I am not sure whats normal....I've had numerous lycomings, they have ran from 30-60psi
hot ldle and 150 - 190 degrees oil temp ( normal running)
All seemed to fare well and gave good service!

The books shows 190-240 degrees F. Oil pressure is 65-85 normal and no less than 25 at idle. Any oil temp above 180 will get rid of the moisture in your case. I like to keep the airboats below 200. Hope that helps.

Good Info gentlemen....Thank you.

I have an oil pressure gauge and an oil temp gauge on the list for my future purchases...

unless I win the Broward Airboat Club raffle this weekend 8)
