i know this because me jdotson an swampy stoped to see if we could be of assistance to a fellow airboater on a thunder powered boat, seems he had a wiring meltdown, we sat there as the lycomming boys an girls rode by an waved but the first contintal boat that happened by stopped an ask if he could be of any help, or maybe continital guys just aint jealous of the emmence power and raw ability of the carmotor boats, any way sure had a blast at the kissimee sat. lot of boat s, enough water in the marsh to keep the bottom damp , saw some racing at the bus, alittle 4cyl ground racin at bs hill plenty of refreshments an no game warden to be found.and if anybody on here owns the red kiss this boat i have to say dont get mad when ya seeme drivin one just like it cause that is one awsom peace of work......... and oh yea it was a continital

See what is was Plum is they did not want to stop and catch whatever disease that carmotor had LOL

I believe the guy said he had wired up a light backwards and it shorted out on the metal work. It melted his battery cable and terminal to a molten glob. He was very lucky there was a post left on the battery to hook a new cable to.

don't know but we did not leave them in the marsh , and i got to give credit were credits due one thunder boat did not have (any) trouble pulling another one out of the marsh, got a little hot but but was impressive, by the way 540 stoped and started with no trouble what a day.

Here's a pic when we first ran into the to thunder powered boats sat there for a good while and BSed with the guys from the west coast, it was on our way back that we ran in to them again a they needed some help.

did they get it runnin , i know three lycomings coulnt pull it back, :D

My first boat was a 14x8 Alumitech with a 502, 4 seats, and walk arounds and I got pulled off the ridge at kiss. and pulled to the port by a ground power on a cotton mouth, really wish I could have got that guys name our something I owe him a really big favor if he ever needed one.

I didn't want to post until I spoke with a owner! Apparently his wiring shall we say was spliced and re spliced from another boat and it got fried! So a Buddy of his Chris who is a great guy and owns the boat in the pic with the superwide wide prop, towed the boat in apparently across dry ground back to the water and all the way in. Chris called me this morning and said his motor never even overheated and towed it no problem. He did say he didn't want to tow the boat on ground loaded with passengers so some southern airboat members gave the boat owners and passengers a ride in! So who ever helped a big thank you, times like these are great fun when you look back and have a beer!

they where a long way from any water cudos to the super wide thunder boat because the k blade thunder boat was a fairly large vessel, the more i think of it the more amazing it becomes
