A little help here from the guys running Inspected boats please . . .
As professional captains we have a statutory requirement to resolve known defects and I now know that I am not the only one with these issues.

Q for those familiar with USCG construction guidelines:

On the center spliced, two piece, hull bottom; The exterior weld is approx 23' end to end of the two sheets.

Is the interior also an end to end, complete weld that is finished smooth to allow the T-bar longitudinal stiffener to sit flush over it, or is the chain weld along the T-bar a substitute for the interior splice weld?

For those running poly bottoms on CG Inspected SPV's:
How do you inspect any portion of the butt splice weld that runs the length of the hull bottom?

You must have pissed on (not off) a CG inspector for sure.

Without pulling the poly, X-Ray inspection is the only option I know off, and I would pull the poly before paying for that.
