Major fire

Lost my workshop, airboat, all my tackle, welders, tools, mowers and a tractor today in a fire. Don't know how it started, fire marshall could not figure it out either.
Appreciate the thumbs up on the pictures of my boat and grandson.
Got insurance, so that's a good thing.

I'll post some pix soon.

:(

Also a ton of pistons, cylinders, a 125 Lyc. and the 470 on my boat.

Oh man, That's a heartbreaker for sure! Dang! Silver lining (I suppose) is that no one was hurt and it was insured. But Insurance usually does not bring back everything.

I hate to steal a line from Cntry - but it is definitely one of his philosophies that has rubbed off on me... "It's only stuff".

Condolences about the fire, and best wishes on the recovery! Hang in there!

matt.

As long as loved ones were not lost, its just stuff and stuff can be replaced. Family and friends can't.

Insurance is a plus, I hope it at least comes close to replacing everything.

Sorry to hear of the loss but glad everyone is ok.

I know the feeling. So sorry to hear you have to go thru this. In 1983 I lost everything including my home. I had to really sit back and reflect on every little thing including shaving razors toothbrush etc. I knew the ins. adjuster and he helped me alot. Make sure you name every screwdriver, drill bit and the such. I forget the reason my adjuster had me do everything, but I do remember he knew his stuff. He even got several trees paid for and fence post that got damaged in the fire, and I think $1,500.00 clean up allowence. Man I feel for you just for the hassel of trying to run around and replace all your stuff. Please keep us posted, and good luck. Later

fire not a good thing But since most of us are getting a little older and up here insurance companies are getting a little harder to deal with, when it comes to remembering what you have it would be a good time for us to take a video camera and go through our home and garages and video tape everything.I even open my tackle boxs and video all the lures because they never beleive you have that much stuff then make a copy and leave it at a freinds it even helps for when you have a theft Just hope no one else has to go thru a fire and sorry to you Hillrunner hope everthing works out. hillrunnerfl,

Also sorry to hear of your loss. Gotta echo the above posts that at least no one was hurt in the fire. Good luck with the insurance company.
