10-4 BPS about the first trail. Thanks for the warning!
That reminds me to point out that these are somewhat new photos (relatively speaking to what else is out there on the web) but since this aerial photo was taken, 20 months have past, and three hurricanes have crossed this area. So things like floating islands will have changed! These maps should only be used as suggestions. Nothing can substitute for common sense observations and general care navigating your boat.
With that said... I tried to get the entrance of every canal so you can time yourself running that line. On the maps, the tip of the arrow is where I took the GPS reading. Certain features like the Ridge and BS Hill are at the mouths of the canals, and the mouth numbers count for those features.
I've never operated a GPS unit, and I really REALLY hope someone with a nice GPS unit invites me to go on a ride on their boat. I'd like to see what they are capable of and what they do in general.
I'm not sure how accurate these numbers are. Please correct me if need be.
Thanks for the compliments on my mapmaking duty
and enjoy the new map. (the old map has been deleted) Rick, Don't sweat the web storage thing. I have 1 gig of space available to me on my .mac account. I'm not even using half of it. I may order a print of this photo on posterboard or foamcore - To set up at the milk bus during the run. WIth any luck I can get my money back from it by trying to sell it to Camp Mack or someone after the ride.
