Todays ride went well.We had about 12 to 15 boats ride.We only lost one starter, but were able to replace it at Lone Cabbage. Thanks to one of the tour boat guys who had an extra. One boat flipped on its side and one other person hit a bank and got wet.In both situations no one was hurt, and we stayed on our way.The Jokers Wild boat was awesome.(1000HP counter rotater, long belt, nitrous 572  ) Owned by a guy named David from Crystal River who happened to be in town and heard about the ride. Thanks again for lunch David. Rick passed out the stickers you gave me.If someone didnt know about Southern Airboat they know now.

Skeeter, great job on the "March 11 Day Ride". Sorry I couldn't make it for the whole ride, but I sure was glad to catch up with ya'll at the powerlines. Good looking bunch of boats with you there.

Who knows.....we might be having "Regional Rides" like this all over the place someday.

Rick

That looks like a fun time Skeeter. We rode that area on Friday and again on Sunday - Sorry we could not make the saturday ride with y'all.

Did you happen to see any of the airshow just south of PawPaw? It was cool to see F-16's and WWII planes flying in formation over the river.

Was the wind any issue? Today, at Cowsh** hill we followed an oxbow in the river - had to take it a little too slow because of the vertical mud banks, left hand turn across the wind and in some 4 foot water took about 300 gallons over the right side stern. Thanks to fast action on the bilge pump and GASSING IT OUT we coasted a few feet to the bank, and let the bilge pump do it's job. It's the closest I've ever come to sinking. After catching our breath and letting our pulse rates slow back to normal - we finished our ride. If it had happened anywhere else, we'd have been on the bottom! Just glad the river is only 25 feet wide in that area.

There were a LOT of boats out there Sunday. Beautiful day - EXCEPT for that wind.

I hope we see you out there sometime!
