USAA is conducting a membership drive on Orange/Lochloosa Lake on April 4th by hosting a Poker Run and Fish Fry. The USAA is a great, active boat club of which I am an associate member. However, for those residing in Marion County, the Marion County Sportsmen & Airboaters Assn (MCSAA) exists for your benefit and would love to have you. Almost all Airboat clubs exist to have an effect on laws and regulations that effect sportsmen, boaters, hunters, fishermen, or otherwise outdoorsmen. If you are not interested in ours, please join a club near you that you prefer. Several MCSAA members will participate in the Poker Run on Sat April 4th which starts at Marjorie Rawlings Boat Ramp @ 10am and ends at same at 5pm. If you are a Marion County resident (or neighboring community), please ask to be introduced to a MCSAA member. We wholeheartedly recommend the USAA for those who are northern Marion or Alachua County residents, but ask that if you are a Marion County or further south resident, that you would join the MCSAA for geographical closeness for Weekend rides and events. Both clubs are great groups, but based on your hometown, please speak to members of both groups to join if you are not already engaged in a club near you.
