Hey Cowboy, Thanks for posting that link to Aircraft Spruce. I had never heard of them. Learned there is one 30 min. from my house. Went over today and was very impressed. They really rolled out the red carpet. They didn't get "snobbish" when they found out my Lycoming was on an airboat.
The manager put a portable intercom system together for me---included ptt's and headset bags free. He said any airboaters needing systems to give him a call. Mine ran about 350 . Best price I'd found---good stuff also.
Harvey, I've had nothing but good experience with Aircraft Spruce. They're a class act. You don't get to be the #1 by treating people poorly. They have a ton of stuff that airboaters can use, and the catalog is free,
there is one right there in griffin Ga , a aircraft spruce deals with allot of home builders for planes so they are more friendly to none standard projects
The store at the Griffin exit is the original store. They also have a place in California I think. The catalog is a 'candy store' for anybody that likes to dream ..... everything from nuts and bolts, to engines, to aircraft grade Spruce lumber.
You'd have to look long and hard to find a better source IMO.
My Mother in law works at the Peachtree City location. I get her to get stuff for me as I need it. I go up there about once a month and get my stuff then.
