Looking forward to the race! we got some heavy hitters coming ! As has been posted this is a legal race and is free of charge.We put this on last year and had a great time and nobody got hurt.We did receive several warnings for things on or missing on the boats. So have your ducks in a row. We want to be able to do this again and again. this is to cool of a sport to let die! and to many unsettled scores.we are going to have lights and run the opposite direction as last year. Starting from a sand bar or a couple of in. of water and running to a couple of feet .3 or 4 hundred feet what ever is agreed upon.We could get use ramps but looks like it could aggravating setting up in shallow water.We will be going out the day before to stake out the track and spectator area . So if any of the racers want to participate or have any questions pm me. :)
 
Is there a place I can come in my bay boat and watch. I sold my airboat and am waiting on the new one so don't have that option??
 
The races are called off ! In Jan. when the effort to legalize this event was started the coast guard was contacted to get a permit. They said it was under 4 feet to contact the game com.So from their every hoop in the world was jumped through to get it legal and do the right thing. A inch worth of paper work later it was a success.Then a new game capt. in the area that just came in to power. Came forward yesterday an said we needed a coast gaurd permit . It takes 120 days to get a permit. The feeling is airboats are not the capt. favorite thing.So for liability reasons we can not race.We all need to form a LLC. and get it insured and have shares in it. So we are one body. Or something?Try to do it the right way. :(
 
Thanks Dan I have been working late every night an plan on testing all this weekend! I kinda miss read your post and thought you meant Jan but I see that means when you started planning them. That stinks keep us posted I was going to bring two boats. I guess I will wait untill Sarno! Good thing the law has been after us airboaters lord knows nothing is more of a danger to society then an airboat race out in the swamp!
 
Don't forget all the drug related shootings that occur at these races let alone all the thefts and muggings we are a black eye on the liberal society that is for sure. Please keep us posted of any new races!
 
I will do that.worked all day on putting a ride boat together we were going to bring.nasty little 383.Thought we would have done break in today but a bunch little things as usually
