Someone mentioned a metal spacer to absorb the vibration from the motor from effecting the propeller and hub.
How about a little more information on this?
I have seen spacers to help stop absorb vibration and prevent flywheels from cracking from the vibration, but the prop hub.
Have seen a Lycoming that had two hubs crack on it, in almost the identical location. But after sending it to the maker, they determined the one of the shafts was slightly oval and was allowing a slight flex in the hub and that cracked it.
I want to hear more.
