Miccosukee Airboating

Anybody ever get an Airboating permit from the Miccosukee?

If so, what's the deal, and is it worth it.

you need to be a cam p member or a guest. Seems to me the place is never open, they always close it for some reason. It is some beautiful running.

Thanks Rich,
I figured it would be some beatiful riding down there.

Maybe someday I'll get a chance.

My dad had a sticker for a while, the Miccosukee reservation starts a couple miles west of my camp. After his friend that got him the sticker stopped coming out we couldn't renew it and stopped heading out there. We had to take the new trails aound the posted signs.

I have a camp in the Miccosukee Indian Reservation located N of the swimming hole in area 3a. It is some of the best riding in area 3a, and yes the permit fee is worth it. In order to go out there you need to own a camp on the Indian Reservation or be a member of a camp or be a guest of a camp member. The area is closed when the water is high. The Indians usually follow what the Game Commission does. With your yearly fee you are allowed to hunt and kill 1 deer per camp. You are also allowed to duck hunt also. The Indians have there own set of rules that sometimes are a pain in the rear but all in all it is worth every penny I pay per year.
